Internet Sites of the Week

Classic Textbooks in Science
The National Academies have launched a project to digitize a number of fundamental science textbooks. So far only one has appeared, John A. Moore's Heredity and Development. It would be nice if the academies let us know what else is in the pipeline.

Contagious Media Showdown
Recently this space featured the non-profit Eyebeam, an interface between technology and art. Eyebeam is running a contest based on “contagious media,” which spread via word-of-mouth, e-mail, cell phones and the like.
