The Rowland Institute scientists perform research in several areas of physics, chemistry, materials science, biophysics and biology. The Institute encourages collaboration with other Institutes and Universities by providing an informal seminar room equipped for web-casting and an auditorium for formal seminars and conferences, and among its scientists by providing informal luncheons for the casual exchange ideas.
